Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito, 'KCR 10.28.93

We put this out as a limited edition CD a while back, but I figured I may as well put it up for those that don't have it. This show was a big deal for me because Nas, who already was a legend to us back then, spit over a beat I had made that day. It was unfinished and muddy, but he liked it, and for like two days I was on cloud nine. Nas always had fun coming up to the show, and it's apparent. On the same show, Big L passed through...Rapper Nas and Big L in one show...not bad.

Thank you sir for the shows and the Schooly D/Code Money segment as well. Being originally from Philly, I really appreciate that. Btw, Not sure if any of you guys are aware or not, but the Beat Junkie boys at Stones Throw have some dope podcasts going on there as well. Here's the link:

Yo Stretch... that show brought back some memories.

Can you post that show when the Cella Dwellas were first there in '93-94?

That Big L shit is alltime classic. It might be my favourite bit of L rhyming ever and it was on your show. Props. Herb McGruff was dope in his day, its a shame his album was kinda garbage.

You better flee hops...

Stretch...I asked Bobbito if either of you were thinking about creating a "blog" like this. I am ecstatic that it has become a reality. Peace!

This show was sick. Stretch You need to find the tape with Jay-Z and Big-L that was classic right there.

So YOU MADE THAT BEAT STRETCH???
That beat has been a mystery to diggers worldwide. Everyone I talked to has either said it was a Large Probeat or a 45 King. But no one was sure.
Now we know better. Was it ever out on vinyl?

Yo Stretch -- you made that track?!?!?! I used to have a copy of this show on repeat back in the day... Those vibes and that filtered bassline were ILL!!! Nas kills it on your track...

Whoa!

Strecth, you're taking me back to my carefree youth with this one!

Please post as many interview featuring Big L, the best EVER!

And do you have any in-studio sessions of Pudgee Tha Phat Bastard and Ill AL Skratch?

And there was a group called the Nappy Headz and they had a single called "We Naoppy" back in 1993. Go that??

Peace
